Dr. R.J. Azmi, a Young Associate awardee of the Indian Academy of Sciences in 1983, is a Humboldt Fellow since 1985 for discovering Cambrian small shelly fossils from the Krol Belt, necessitating a major age revision of the Lesser Himalayan successions.
