The Geophysics Division is working in the filed of seismicity, seismotectonics, seismic microzonation, earthquake hazard mitigation and earthquake precursory research for the Himalaya and surrounding regions. More over the seismic and other geophysical data is used to investigate subsurface structure and on going geodynamic processes.
